In this edition of Oakridge Bear News, our student reporters get to the bottom of what happened at Outdoor Ed this year. We also talk to students about how they plan to spend their Halloween, learn about Red Ribbon week and get a peek behind the curtain as parents set up Trunk or Treat!

hi this is Mark with okage brand news a few weeks ago Middle School went to Outdoor Ed fifth grade went to Astro Camp sixth grade went to Rawhide Ranch and seventh and eighth grade went to Catalina today I will be interviewing a few people about their trip Here I Am With You so I heard you went to Astro camp yeah it it was a really fun experience so what was your favorite part of the trip um my favorite part was the sky now who are your bunk mates um I was bunking with Orion Henry and hey nice thank you for your time hi here I am with Tanner so I heard you went to Catalina right yeah it was really fun so what was your favorite activity you did there um I like historically needed did a lot of it but the night snorkeling was the best we saw some cool animals so what was your favorite food that you had um probably Hawaiian rolls I had like 11 thank you for your time now here's Haley so I heard you yeah how spacious would you happen it was pretty big there were 2 rooms and our teacher stayed in 1 of them and then we stayed in the other 1 now on a scale from 1 to 10 how much fun did you have on this trip okay thank you for your time hi I'm Tanner from Oakridge Bear news do you ever wonder what people think about Halloween every Halloween people are different costumes and they experience different things for Halloween and this story we will ask other kids about their favorite Halloween costumes and other Halloween related questions I'm here with Dean my first question is what are you going to be for Halloween I'm considering being SpongeBob or Patrick my second question is what is your favorite kind of Halloween candy Reese's and M&M's thank you for your time I'm here with Mark my first question is what are you going to be for Halloween for Halloween I'm going to be Abby from K-pop demon Hunters with my friends Braden decent and Chase my second question is what is the scariest movie you've ever watched the scariest movie I've ever watched is probably K-pop demon Hunters it has some really scary scenes thank you for your time I'm here with Holland my first question is what what are you going to be for Halloween I'm going to be a line with my friends cuz we're all dressing up from the circus my second question is what are some of your favorite Halloween memories some of my favorite Halloween memories are um probably just walking around my neighborhood and then going to like the rich my neighborhood and getting all the king-sized candy bars with my family this is Tanner with Elkridge Bear news hi my name is Angel and I'm with okay and these are the October birthday and the interviews with student who dressed up for Red Ribbon weeks hello my name is Hong Cooper hi my name is Hannah Smith what did you choose to dress together on the twin day because we're besties and we chose to and we also have matching outfits so it would be easy for us why did you choose of it so we went to see me these last 3 days and we already had these pants from last year but when we went again we got a new hoodie which is this 1 and and so do our shoes because we're very stylish and that's why we chose to match for Sunday it was for the assembly but also if you're going to do this for today you can well we're going to be wearing Hi here's angel with so brand news and this is Mark what did you want to dress up on Jersey day uh I wanted to dress up on Jersey day cuz I wanted to show my support for the Lakers Luka doncic and Nico Harris who's Jersey are you weary and what do you like about this player um I'm wearing Luka doncic Jersey um he's the best on the Lakers besides LeBron and yeah I just love Luca thank you hi I'm Garrett what do you want to dress someone create day and then I fell player um because I just love football and I just want to show everybody that why football is great and they should play it what do you want to be in this job um I think it's just such a fun Sport and that I just want to have fun on the field and just play football that's just my dream for a long time Chase Angel was October news prek all October 1 4 hybrid mister and Drew October 22 Kingdom Mr new came octo number 1 Kinder asme October 22 third grade Kia October 2nd third grade had the October 28th first grade ball will October 6th 4th grade Jonathan October 26th sixth grade Shayla October 13th Spanish teacher Mrs Juan October 10th hi I'm Jacob from oakwitch Pair news and I'm going to be interviewing parents from trick or treat so first I'm going to be interviewing Janice so Janice what is your favorite Halloween movie spookily the Square Pumpkin all right what is trunk or treating trunk or treating is where we all decorate our cars in a particular theme and then kids go from car to car instead of from house to house what are the benefits of trunk or treating it's a nice Consolidated event instead of having to walk a whole neighborhood you can walk a little area and it gives you a chance to work with a team and do something really fun all right what's your favorite Halloween memory as a kid probably sorting all the candy after you get all the loot and then you pick through it and make make piles oh okay and so I'm going to be interviewing Veronica so guys what is your favorite holy memory as a kid um just trick-or-treating With Friends um yes likewise getting ready with my family I agree you know I was a former ochre student and before this we actually used to do a parade and I love to do the parade at brokerage it was really fun to do all right what's your favorite Halloween character Belle from Beauty and the Beast um Casper probably alphabet I would say all right what made you choose this theme the most popular show movie on Netflix right now and all the our kids love it likewise yeah yeah that's great all right what other benefits of trunk or treating together creates all the creat bars and around us there's so much creativity around here it's really fun for the parents it's fun for us to spend more time together so our kids can see us spending time together and it's great to bring this magic to life for our kids yeah it's a core memory for our children too they're going to remember this when they're all grown up so I'm going to be interviewing Desiree and Lauren so Desiree and Lauren what is your favorite holy memory as a kid oh I would say actually carving pumpkins I love carving pumpkins it's like a secret little passion of mine and we've continued that with the kids 1 of my Fondest Memories is trick-or-treating and being a political pencil instead of candy in my Halloween f*** it I'm thinking what is this e that too what are the benefits of trunk or treating um I think it's a fun way for the kids to get to experience different little atmospheres that everybody gets to create and um a cool way to get candy especially if they're in a neighborhood where they may not get to go trick or all the time I agree 100% it's safe it's fun it's a good place for everyone to get together and just be a part of a family and the community and kind of get to do things to express themselves and not be running around in the dark at night and just really fun with family and friends what made you choose this theme well I think mostly like the age of our kids my son loves Bluey my daughter loved Bluey Sage so I think it's just a really fun theme for this age group I agree what's the favorite Halloween character um I really like Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas she's just like really cute and cool and I like her character my favorite Halloween character is Frankenstein definitely Frankenstein I'm in with the green and lastly what's your favorite Halloween movie um I like Hocus Pocus for me it's Kasper the cute ghost
