Meet Our Principal

Brittney Unger is an experienced educator with more than 15 years of experience working with children and families. Since joining Oakridge Private School in 2017, she has served as a Preschool Teacher, Preschool Director, Co-Administrator, and now Principal. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to Oakridge's mission and to helping every student succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Mrs. Unger's passion for education began early as a volunteer in the Child Life Department at Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach. She later served as an After-School Lead with the City of Fullerton at Ocean View School, overseeing a program of 177 students in Transitional Kindergarten through sixth grade while leading a team of staff members.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Development with an emphasis in Family and Community from California State University, Fullerton. She has also completed post-graduate coursework in educational administration and holds a Multi Site Child Development Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Mrs. Unger values building strong relationships with students, families, and staff and believes every child deserves to feel supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. She is proud to be part of the Oakridge community and is honored to continue serving the school she has called home for many years.

Outside of school, Mrs. Unger enjoys spending time on or near the water, cooking and trying new restaurants, traveling with her husband, and being part of the wonderful Orange community.
