Academics

We are delighted that you have chosen to explore the exceptional academic opportunities available for your child. For more than 40 years, Oakridge Private School has successfully educated children throughout Orange County, offering a comprehensive program from preschool through eighth grade.

Oakridge's tested and proven curriculum, combined with a strong value-based education, provides students with a distinct academic advantage as they prepare for the next phase of their educational journey. Honor classes are offered for students in grades five through eight. Oakridge students consistently score in the top ten percent of the national norm on standardized tests. This academic excellence enables graduates to attend the high schools and universities of their choice.

Oakridge Private School features two dedicated computer labs - one for elementary students and one for middle school students. Transitional Kindergarten through fourth grade students attend computer classes twice weekly in the elementary lab. Transitional Kindergarten and kindergarten students begin developing typing skills and use age-appropriate drawing programs to build proficiency with the keyboard and mouse. First grade students type their weekly spelling words to strengthen keyboarding skills, while second and third grade students begin using the internet for research, in addition to continued keyboard instruction.

Students in grades five through eight may choose the technology elective, which develops digital literacy and problem-solving skills. The program introduces Office 365 tools while promoting responsible and ethical technology use.
